It is located in the pristine waters of Jervis Inlet, British Columbia where shellfish are fed by an abundance of natural wild nutrients.
This farm is adjacent to the BC Ferry dock at Saltery Bay and can be reached by boat in just minutes.It is well protected from the elemets as it is situated between small Islets to the north and Hardy Island to the south.
Saltery Bay can be reached from Vancouver in the south by catching a ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, driving from Langdale to Earls Cove, and catching another ferry from Earls Cove to Saltery Bay.
Saltery Bay Provincial Park is located alongside Highway 101 immediately west of the Saltery Bay Ferry Terminal,and contains a the boat launch facility.
Major changes occured in 2004 when the company received a new aquaculture licence from the BC Government Ministry of Agriculture,Food and Fisheries approving the species: Geoduck - Panope abrupta,Western Blue Mussel - Mytilus trossulus Eastern, Blue Mussel - Mytilus edulis edulis, Gallo Mussel - Mytilus galloproincialis.Currently the company is conducting controlled test with mussels on the tenure in Jervis Inlet to ascertain the viability of a mussel operation here and are in talks to build a hatchery in BC for the production of mussel and geoduck seeds.
